Every custom vehicle presents different challenges when routing the steering shaft. Engine placement, headers, frame rails, suspension components and steering-column location can all affect the path between the steering column and rack & pinion.

Welding & fabrication required. A qualified professional mechanic or fabricator with the technical understanding of product function and installation procedures must install all Scott’s Hotrods products.

The Steering Linkage Kit is a natural complement to a Scott’s Hotrods Independent Front Suspension or Custom Chassis, providing the components necessary to connect the driver’s steering column to the rack & pinion.
It can also be used in other custom steering applications where the vehicle requires a purpose-built steering linkage rather than a factory steering shaft.
A steering linkage needs to do more than simply connect the column to the rack. Proper routing, U-joint angles, shaft support and component clearance are all important to creating a steering system that operates smoothly without interference.
When installing any custom steering linkage, verify proper clearance throughout the complete steering and suspension range of motion before operating the vehicle.
