At the front of the Buick Century chassis is Scott’s proprietary Independent Front Suspension, engineered and manufactured by Scott’s Hotrods.
The system features a heavy-duty one-piece 2″x4″x3/16″-wall IFS crossmember, 1-1/8″x.250-wall DOM tubular upper and lower control arms, built-in anti-dive geometry, oversized serviceable press-in ball joints and Scott’s CNC machined stainless steel adjustable upper control-arm rod ends.
This is Scott’s IFS—not a Mustang II suspension adapted to fit your Buick.
Equal-Length Parallel 4-Bar Rear Suspension
Out back, Scott’s replaces the original rear suspension with our Equal-Length Parallel 4-Bar Rear Suspension.
Heavy-duty DOM link bars, CNC machined stainless steel rod ends and an adjustable Panhard bar provide a strong and adjustable rear suspension system. A Moser Ford 9-inch housing with 31-spline axles comes standard, with upgrades including the Moser M9 FAB, 35-spline axles and Scott’s Watt’s Link available for more demanding builds.
The Equal-Length Parallel 4-Bar also keeps the rear suspension geometry predictable throughout its travel, making it an excellent foundation for either coilovers or an air suspension system.
