Built for Slammed 1967–1972 Ford F100 Trucks

Getting a 1967–1972 Ford F100 Bumpside down low often creates a problem most builders don’t think about until the inner fenders come out: the factory hood hinges mount to them.

Scott’s Hotrods developed our LowPro CNC Billet Hood Hinges specifically for slammed and air-bagged F100 trucks where the original inner fenders have been removed for wheel, tire and suspension clearance. Instead of resorting to hood pins or a complicated reverse-tilt setup, Scott’s LowPro Hood Hinges allow you to retain a traditional, factory-style functioning hood.

Firewall-Mounted LowPro Design

Scott’s LowPro Hood Hinges relocate the hinge mounting point to the firewall using the factory holes originally used to mount the inner fenders. This creates the clearance needed for heavily lowered F100 builds while maintaining normal hood operation.

Born from a Real F100 Build

Scott’s didn’t design these hinges simply to create another billet accessory. They were originally developed out of necessity during the construction of “The Baddest Bumpside Ever Built.”

Removing the factory inner fenders provided the clearance the truck needed, but eliminated the factory hood-hinge mounting location in the process. Scott’s engineered the LowPro Hood Hinge to solve that problem—and turned the solution into a production component for other custom F100 builders facing the same challenge.
