1935 Chevrolet Chassis Overview
Scott’s Hotrods takes the unmistakable styling of the 1935 Chevrolet and gives it the modern foundation needed to perform like an entirely different car. Rather than simply replacing individual pieces of the original suspension, a Scott’s complete chassis provides an integrated system engineered around modern suspension geometry, rack & pinion steering, improved braking capability, increased chassis rigidity and dramatically improved ride and handling.
At the front is Scott’s proprietary Rear Steer IFS, with the steering rack positioned behind the front crossmember for improved packaging in early-car applications. This is NOT a Mustang II suspension. Scott’s uses a heavy-duty one-piece IFS crossmember, massive 1-1/8″x.250-wall DOM Tubular Upper & Lower A-Arms, built-in anti-dive, CNC-machined stainless steel adjustable upper A-Arm rod ends and oversized serviceable ball joints.
At the rear, Scott’s Parallel 4-Bar suspension locates a Moser Ford 9-inch rear end with heavy-duty adjustable DOM link bars and CNC-machined stainless steel rod ends. The complete system is designed to work together, giving your ’35 Chevy the stance you want without sacrificing the handling, strength or road manners expected from a modern custom chassis.

Coilover or SuperSlam – You Choose the Stance
1935 Chevy Coilover Chassis
For builders looking for a low, aggressive stance combined with excellent handling and predictable road manners, the Scott’s 1935 Chevrolet Coilover Chassis delivers a modern performance foundation underneath your classic Chevy. The chassis comes standard with Aldan American Single-Adjustable Coilovers, with additional performance shock options available. Whether you’re building a comfortable highway cruiser or a serious Pro Touring street machine, the Coilover configuration provides the control and responsiveness a modernized 1935 Chevy deserves.
Want Your 1935 Chevy to Lay Frame?
If low isn’t low enough, build it on a Scott’s SuperSlam 1935 Chevrolet Chassis. The SuperSlam configuration is engineered around air suspension from the beginning, allowing your Chevy to achieve an extremely aggressive parked stance while maintaining an adjustable driving height when you’re on the road. Instead of adding airbags to a chassis originally designed around another suspension configuration, the SuperSlam chassis is built specifically around the desired air-ride setup and stance.
The combination of a 1935 Chevrolet body laid over a modern Scott’s chassis creates the perfect foundation for a radical street rod, custom or show car. Add Scott’s Rear Steer IFS, rack & pinion steering, Parallel 4-Bar rear suspension and Moser Ford 9-inch, and you get the dramatic stance of a traditional custom with the engineering and road manners of a modern performance chassis.
