Why Choose a Scott’s Hotrods 1941-1948 Ford Car Chassis?
The 1941-1948 Ford represents one of the most recognizable eras of early American hot rod and custom-car styling, and Scott’s Hotrods gives these classics the modern foundation they deserve. Every Scott’s 1941-1948 Ford Car Chassis is built-to-order specifically around your vehicle, drivetrain, wheel and tire combination, desired ride height and intended use. Whether you’re building a traditional street rod, custom coupe, comfortable highway cruiser, modern restomod, Pro Touring Ford or an ultra-low show car, your chassis is engineered around the finished vehicle you actually want to build.
Every Scott’s ’41-’48 Ford Chassis features our proprietary Independent Front Suspension (IFS), massive Tubular Upper & Lower A-Arms, modern rack & pinion steering, equal-length Parallel 4-Bar rear suspension and a Moser Ford 9-inch rear end. Choose premium Coilovers for excellent road manners and performance or step up to our SuperSlam Airbag Chassis when your build calls for an ultra-low, adjustable stance. The chassis itself is constructed from mandrel-bent 2″x4″ frame rails, reinforced with an 8-point tubular center crossmember and 100% TIG welded for strength and rigidity.
This isn’t a universal street rod frame stretched or modified to fit your Ford. Scott’s engineers the chassis specifically for the 1941, 1942, 1946, 1947 and 1948 Ford passenger car, taking suspension geometry, drivetrain placement, floor clearance, exhaust routing, track width and stance into consideration from the beginning. Built-to-Order. Vehicle-Specific. American Made. Built by Scott’s Hotrods.
Scott’s Hotrods manufactures a complete 1941-1948 Ford Car Chassis for builders who want modern handling, braking, steering and ride quality underneath their classic Ford. Instead of rebuilding nearly 80-year-old suspension technology, a Scott’s chassis gives your project an entirely new foundation engineered specifically around your car. From a traditional 1941 Ford Coupe to a radically customized ’48 Ford, every chassis is built according to your drivetrain, suspension choice, wheel and tire package, ride height and performance goals.
At the front, Scott’s proprietary Independent Front Suspension features a heavy-duty one-piece 2″x4″x3/16″-wall crossmember, built-in anti-dive and massive 1-1/8″x.250-wall DOM Tubular Upper & Lower A-Arms. Out back, our equal-length Parallel 4-Bar rear suspension controls a Moser Ford 9-inch rear end using heavy-duty adjustable DOM link bars. Combine that with rack & pinion steering, available Wilwood disc brakes and your choice of Coilover or SuperSlam Airbag suspension, and you have a classic Ford chassis engineered for modern roads and modern horsepower.

Want Your 1941-1948 Ford to Lay Frame?
Scott’s Hotrods SuperSlam 1941-1948 Ford Chassis is engineered from the ground up specifically for air suspension, giving your classic Ford the ultra-low stance you want without treating airbags as an afterthought. The SuperSlam chassis is designed around the suspension travel, geometry and packaging necessary to put your Ford completely down on the frame while maintaining a proper driving height and suspension geometry when raised. Scott’s states the SuperSlam chassis is designed to lay frame from front to back.
Whether you’re building a chopped custom, traditional street rod, modern restomod or radical show car, the SuperSlam combines Scott’s proprietary IFS, rack & pinion steering, Parallel 4-Bar rear suspension and Moser Ford 9-inch with a properly engineered air suspension system. Lay it out at the show. Raise it to driving height. Hit the highway. Your ’41-’48 Ford gets the stance of a radical custom with a chassis engineered to actually be driven.

Built for Traditional Ford Power, Coyote Swaps & More
Your 1941-1948 Ford doesn’t have to be limited by the drivetrain it left the factory with. Scott’s Hotrods can engineer your chassis around everything from traditional Ford power to a modern 5.0L Coyote swap, Windsor, FE big-block, Y-Block, LS, LT, HEMI or other custom drivetrain combination. Engine placement, transmission fitment, steering clearance, exhaust routing, suspension geometry and ride height are considered during the chassis design process—not figured out after your chassis arrives.
Whether your goal is a period-inspired Ford street rod or a high-horsepower modern restomod, Scott’s built-to-order approach means the chassis is designed around your drivetrain and your project—not the other way around.

Give Your 1941-1948 Ford the Modern Chassis It Deserves
The 1941-1948 Ford Car has timeless styling, but there’s no reason the suspension, steering and chassis underneath it need to remain stuck in the 1940s. A Scott’s Hotrods 1941-1948 Ford Chassis replaces outdated factory chassis technology with a rigid, vehicle-specific foundation featuring modern Independent Front Suspension, rack & pinion steering, Parallel 4-Bar rear suspension, Moser Ford 9-inch strength and your choice of Coilover or SuperSlam Airbag suspension. From a traditional street rod and comfortable highway cruiser to a Coyote-powered restomod or pavement-hugging custom, Scott’s builds the chassis around the way you want your Ford to look, drive and perform.
Every Scott’s chassis is built-to-order from raw materials, using vehicle-specific fixtures and engineering rather than a cookie-cutter frame design. With mandrel-bent frame rails, heavy-duty DOM suspension components, precision CNC-machined parts, Grade 8 hardware and 100% TIG-welded construction, your classic Ford gets a foundation designed for modern horsepower, modern roads and real-world driving. Keep the unmistakable character of your 1941-1948 Ford—we’ll give it the chassis to make it drive every bit as good as it looks.
