Scott’s Hotrods ’n Customs proudly debuted this stunning 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass at the 2026 Triple Crown of Rodding, where it made an immediate impression and earned a coveted Top 30 Award. Built for our customer Cecil Carder of Mississippi, the Cutlass represents countless hours of craftsmanship, custom fabrication, and attention to detail from the Scott’s team. But the best part of the entire build came at the end of the show—seeing Cecil get behind the wheel of his finished Cutlass and drive it out of the Triple Crown with a huge smile on his face. From the first stages of fabrication to the moment Cecil Carder fired it up and drove away from the Triple Crown of Rodding, this 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass was built to be far more than just a show car. Hand-built by Scott’s Hotrods ’n Customs, the Cutlass features extensive custom fabrication along with paint and bodywork completed entirely in-house by the Scott’s team. The body is finished in stunning PPG Vert Jade Pearl, complemented by the distinctive Rose Gold Pearl Chrome plating completed by Advanced Plating. Inside, Pro Auto Interiors brought the cabin together with a custom interior that perfectly complements the craftsmanship and styling throughout the rest of the build.

Taking home a Top 30 award at the 2026 Triple Crown of Rodding was an incredible way to cap off the Cutlass’ debut, but the best moment for our team was seeing Cecil behind the wheel of his finished car with a huge smile on his face. We’re grateful to Cecil for trusting Scott’s Hotrods ’n Customs to bring his vision to life and proud of everyone who had a hand in making this Cutlass what it is today.
