Notice of Federally Mandated Sales & Use Tax

Due to recent federal regulations, sales tax is now applicable to out-of-state customers. Once Scott’s Hotrods ‘n Customs reaches the required sales threshold in a given state, we are legally required to charge the customer’s local sales tax rate, as determined by Avalara, Inc. sales tax software.

Shipping & Return Policy

No product will be shipped until full payment has been received. Shipping and handling charges vary based on size, weight, insured value, and destination. In some cases, actual shipping costs may differ from the initial quote. If this occurs, a Scott’s Hotrods representative will contact you before processing your order. Order Cancellations

  • Orders canceled before shipment will incur a 10% credit card and administrative processing fee.

  • Custom chassis orders require a 50% deposit at the time of purchase. If canceled more than 10 days after the deposit is received, a 25% restocking fee will apply to all manufactured and/or ordered parts. Additionally, a 10% credit card and administrative processing fee will be charged.

  • All other custom orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase. If canceled after 10 days, a 25% restocking fee will be applied to all manufactured and/or ordered parts, along with a 10% credit card and administrative processing fee.

Returns & Refunds

Scott’s Hotrods offers a 30-day return policy on select items. For more information, contact a Scott’s Hotrods representative.
Before returning any product, you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number by calling 865-951-2081 or emailing accounts@scottshotrods.com. No returns will be accepted without an RMA number.

When requesting an RMA number, please have the following details ready:

  • Customer name

  • Invoice number

  • Description of the issue

Return Requirements:

  • Products must be 100% complete, including all original boxes, packing materials, manuals, UPC codes, warranty cards, and accessories.

  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

  • Returns must be properly packaged to prevent damage during transit. If non-defective items arrive damaged, Scott’s Hotrods reserves the right to refuse the return.

Condition Guidelines:

  • Like New Condition: Returns must be free of damage, complete, and without blemishes.

  • Defective Merchandise: Defective items may be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, at Scott’s Hotrods’ discretion, for a credit, replacement, exchange, or repair. Manufacturer restrictions may apply.

  • Non-Defective Merchandise: Returns of non-defective items are accepted at Scott’s Hotrods’ discretion within 30 days of the invoice date and are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Refunds will be issued by check or credit card within 30 days of receiving the returned goods.

Missing Parts & Damaged Shipments:

  • Missing parts must be reported within 30 days of delivery. Customers are responsible for inspecting all packages upon arrival.

  • If merchandise arrives damaged, save all packaging and contact both Scott’s Hotrods and the shipping carrier to file a claim. The receiver must file the claim.

Returns Beyond 30 Days:
Scott’s Hotrods reserves the right to approve product returns beyond 30 days from the invoice date. If approved, a store credit may be issued. Original shipping charges are non-refundable, and the customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless Scott’s Hotrods is at fault.

Scott’s Hotrods ’n Customs Chassis Storage Policy

Effective Date: 3-13-2025

At Scott’s Hotrods ’n Customs, we are committed to providing top-quality service and ensuring that our production and storage areas remain organized and efficient. To maintain smooth operations and avoid congestion, we have implemented the following storage policy for completed chassis:

  1. Completion and Notification
    • Once a chassis is completed, the customer will be notified promptly by phone and/or email with pictures and Final Invoice. Balance is due within 5 days.
  • The completion date will be recorded and communicated to the customer at the time of notification.
  1. Pick-Up Window
    • Customers are required to pick up their completed chassis within 21 calendar days from the date of notification.
  • If the chassis is not picked up within this 21-day window, storage fees will be applied as outlined below.
  1. Storage Fees
    • A storage fee of $40 per day will be charged for any chassis not picked up after the 21-day pick-up window has expired.
  • Storage fees will accrue daily until the chassis is picked up.
  1. Liability and Responsibility
    • It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange for timely pick-up and transportation of their chassis.
  2. Abandonment Policy
    • If a chassis remains unclaimed for 120 days after the completion date, Scott’s Hotrods ’n Customs reserves the right to take appropriate action, including but not limited to selling the chassis to recover storage fees and other costs incurred.
  3. Agreement
    • By engaging in business with Scott’s Hotrods ’n Customs, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this Storage Policy.

Disagreement with These Terms and Conditions

By accessing, browsing, or making a purchase from Scott’s Hotrods, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our website or services.

Limited Lifetime Warranty on Scott's Hotrods 'n Customs Manufactured Parts

Limited Lifetime Warranty. Scott’s Hotrods ‘n Customs guarantees that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of purchase and conform to Scott’s Hotrods ‘n Customs specifications. This warranty remains in effect for as long as the original customer owns the product, provided it is properly installed, maintained according to Scott’s Hotrods ‘n Customs instructions, and not subjected to any Excluded Activity (the “Limited Lifetime Warranty”).

Coverage

Scott’s Hotrods ‘n Customs (“Scott’s Hotrods”) warrants that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of purchase and conform to Scott’s Hotrods’ specifications. This Limited Lifetime Warranty remains in effect for as long as the original purchaser owns the product, provided it is:

  • Properly installed and maintained according to Scott’s Hotrods’ instructions.

  • Not subjected to any Excluded Activities (as defined below).

What This Warranty Covers

This warranty applies only to Scott’s Hotrods-manufactured products and covers:

  • Structural integrity of chassis, suspension components, and other Scott’s Hotrods parts.

  • Manufacturing defects that affect the performance or safety of the product.

What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including surface rust, corrosion, or cosmetic blemishes.

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, improper installation, or modifications.

  • Products used in racing, off-road, stunt driving, or any other high-impact activities.

  • Labor costs, shipping fees, or any incidental or consequential damages.

  • Products installed on vehicles used for commercial, fleet, or public service purposes.

  • Any parts not manufactured by Scott’s Hotrods (third-party components may be subject to their respective manufacturers’ warranties).

Warranty Claim Process

To file a warranty claim, the original purchaser must:

  1. Contact Scott’s Hotrods at 865-951-2081 or accounts@scottshotrods.com with a description of the issue.

  2. Provide proof of purchase (original receipt or invoice).

  3. Obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before returning any product.

  4. Ship the product back to Scott’s Hotrods for evaluation (customer is responsible for shipping costs).

If the warranty claim is approved, Scott’s Hotrods will, at its discretion:

  • Repair or replace the defective product at no charge.

  • Issue a credit toward a replacement product if repair is not possible.

Limitations of Liability

Scott’s Hotrods’ liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product. Scott’s Hotrods is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including vehicle downtime, labor costs, or loss of use.

Final Terms

Scott’s Hotrods reserves the right to modify or discontinue this warranty at any time without notice. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

By purchasing and installing a Scott’s Hotrods product, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Limited Lifetime Warranty.
